DESVM6510

Kenworth Cab Mount

Features:


  • DESVM6510 mounting kit brackets are designed to mount "passive" DPF systems which do not exceed 100 lbs. and 13" in diameter.
  • "IMPORTANT" DESVM6510 can also support "passive" DPF systems up to 125 lbs. if backing plates are added to the inside of the cab at both mounting points. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE "DPF" SYSTEM, CAB OF TRUCK, OR INJURY TO PERSONS.
  • Filter mounting channel has rubber isolation between the top and bottom cab mount.
  • Constructed and welded using mild steel.
  • Brackets are powder coated black. Filter mounting bands ( purchased separately) are powder coated "HI TEMP" black.
  • All hardware (hex bolts, flat washers, nylock nuts) are yellow zinc chromate, grade 8 (included).

Installation:


  1. Brackets must be assembled as shown and hardware torqued to **listed standards, FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE "DPF" SYSTEM OR INJURY TO PERSONS.
  2. Cab mounts should have appropriate backing or reinforcement inside the cab to prevent damage to the cab or mounting brackets. (backing or reinforcement to be provided by installers).
  3. CAUTION! Do not tighten isolation hardware to the listed torque specifications! Reasonable care should be taken when tightening, to ensure equal compression and avoid excessive compression of the isolator.
  4. After filter and heat shield are installed, ensure the DPF system does not obstruct or impair the drivers use of the mirrors.
  5. **TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS: 3/8-16 GRADE 8 (40-50 ft lbs.) 7/16-14 GRADE 8 (60-75 ft lbs.) 1/2-13 GRADE 8 (90-110 ft lbs.)
